Terminology: Body Parts:

Most of the terminology used below is modern. Terminology, however, varies. Sometimes there are multiple terms, other times the terminology is old and no longer in use, and some terms come from budo, kiko or old Japanese medicine.


abdomen (belly, bowels, stomach):(J) hara, fukubu, tanden
