Fukien Ground Boxing
Nan Shaolin Leg Techniques
By Cai Chu-Xian (Tzai Tsu-Shien)
Translated into English by Mei Xue-Xiong (Mei Sue-Shiong)

FKI-BS-2070

Fukien (Fujian) Ground Boxing, one the branches of “Shaolin” boxing in southern China, is presented by the distinguished Master, Cail Chu-Xian, Vice-President of the Fuzhou Martial Arts Association and Head Coach of the Fuzhou Martial Arts Center. This art is also called Shaolin Dog Style Boxing because of its unique style – using movements patterned after the dog, adapted to the human form, that are quick, nimble, and changing – performed on multiple levels. Presented are the art’s spectacular and powerful methods of running, punching, rolling, overturning, kicking, dodging, takedowns and ground – techniques whose flow almost reminds the viewer of aikido but also includes a vast variety of superb ground techniques. These ground skills are the art’s specialty and involve practical leg actions useful for actual combat. If you ever wanted to know how to fight from the ground with your legs, this book will be an invaluable training tool.
