I hope ive got the right forum for this question. if not, sorry.

Im having trouble breakfalling from a hip throw. When iam thrown i try to breakfall by hitting the mat with my hand, but my left knee always seems to hit first. My sensei has told me to try and keep my legs straight when i fall but i cant. Any tips on how to breakfall without hurting my knee?

Im grading soon for my orange belt, and im embarrassed that i still keep getting hurt. I can breakfall on my other falls fine, but this one is causing me trouble.

Any tips would be greatly appreciated.
