There is a lot of research in psychology that has shown relationships between the increase in computer processing speeds and the reduction in the average attention span. We're becoming used to getting things when we want them, where we want them, and in a fraction of a second. There have always been people who want things without the hard work, but we now live in a society that is structured to breed them.
