I wouldn't worry too much about not being super fit, I took up martial arts after a bout of Glandular fever thet knocked my out big style for well over a year, in that year I hardly did any excersise because if I did I would sleep for what seemed like days! I went from being quite fit to really, really unfit! I stared MA and admitedly the first class killed me but after that by fitness built up with training.No one will expect you to be really fit so my advice would be to just go along and try!!
