meditation is extremely helpful in my life, i could not live without it.

My life used to be hectic, i had a nervous breakdown, I had troubles at work and my house had been broken into.

so i started meditating, it did not change my physical strength but i became stronger mentally and it has changed my life, i strongly recommend meditation to everyone.

Hmmmmmmmmmm, heres wot i think. Ki is spiritual energy so it cannot do any harm or damage physically, but maybe cood affect u spiritually. I don't know much about this so my turn.

What does energy breathing and stuff do for u? Does it increase ur strength physically or spiritually? If it increases ur physical strength (therefore AFFECTING your physical body)then could u AFFECT the physical body of others in an attack???

I think you ought to look through the other threads on this forum and realize that the DBZ stuff is BS stuff. I also think thatt if you want to have a thread locked you are off to a great start.

Just try to keep going with the subject of the thread. It is interesting to hear everyones views on Ki and how it effects them in everyday life.

Thank's for the response, Reiki and Bossman.
One more question, if you don't mind:
if I'm using my own qi, is there a risk involved to be drained as a consequence?
I wont be seeing my qigong teacher until beginning of april, so any guidance will be appreciated!

regards,
nenippal

I've always found any kind of healing produces more energy and never drains. The only people I've seen 'drain' their energy to heal are some 'spiritual' healers who feel the need to 'suffer' to heal - a kind of 'sacrifice' and do it to themselves...

This 'flood control' is a pain...

hence a need for good grounding before healing.

Okie dokie, thank's!
I'm not planning to become a healer (at least for now I have no such plans) but if some situation similar to the one I described above should occur, I'll keep your advice in mind.
Much appreciated!

nenipp:

Just to add to this...

When it comes to healing, you NEVER want to use your own qi in the process. The qi/ki healing methods of the Japanese/Chinese traditions that I know of teach on being able to draw qi/ki from the environs and process it for use. Your qi/ki is a finite source and you do not want to use that.
