As I've said before about healing with ki, usually whenever I [or any of the other reiki healers I know] are treating someone, the heat given off their hands can be quite significant.

People who have felt this during sesssions have said that it feels like they are being heated up from the inside by the energy. They say if feels like heat lamps and other heating devices!

Next time I am doing a heavy duty healing session I will get one of our thermocouple test instruments from work and measure the heat change between the healing centres of my hands and the surrounding skin temperature.

Note: you cannot push reiki, you can only allow it to flow where it will [like water]. It goes where it is needed most.

Reiki, have you done this yet? I also practice Reiki (level 2) but i honestly have never thought of trying to measure the temperature change.
btw, do you ever try to channel reiki through your feet instead of your hands?
Just curious.

No I haven't done any measurements yet, I've been too busy with other things like training and work!

yes using your feet is just as successful as using your hands for treating people and animals. I notice that a lot of energy is channeled thru the feet in the same way it is thru the hands.

A good way to warm up cold feet is to start channeling reiki!

When I am doing attunements my feet feel incredibly hot since I am grounding the attunee as well as myself.

Hi, I'm new to the site and thought I might add my 2 cents. I very much believe in the postive aspects of those trying to strengthen themselves threw martial arts. If believing if ki/chi helps them to achieve there goals then whats so bad about believing in it? Also as a pratctioner of TKD I've seen quite a few things that I would assume have something to do with ki/chi. One being when I saw my friend jump the lenght of a tkd sparring ring with no running start. This is about 12 to 12.5 feet. He never realy explained how he did it, and I've seen him do similar things with height of jumping and the time he hangs in the air. Just incase you think I'm just making up a story, I can give you atleast something to go on. His name is Il Kyu Shin and he's the nephew of the master of my tkd school in east greenbush ny, (www.columbiatkd.com) Just so it is realized, at no point in my training there over the past 11 years has anyone brought up flying, blowing up stuff with your energy ...etc. Also if anyone out there can do anything remotely like stuf on dbz or other various anime....throw the rest of us a bone with the rising gas prices we all could use the chance to save some cash and fly to work.... Hi i'm new here. I've been reading books and articles on the internet about "pushing ki" or "ki blasts" as i'v heard too, and i'v been getting a little progress but the results are slim to none. For instance, i have a room that has all my training equipment in, and in it i have a large pot filled with water. What i do is use my ki to make the water vibrate, but when i attempt this the water only vibrates a little, and i mean a little, about as much as throwing a few grains of sand in it. I'm wondering if anyone could help me with this problem, or give me any pointers.
swords, that was the longest sentence I've ever read!
I tried to read it out loud, just for sports, but my face turned blue and I fell out of my chair so I couldn't see the later half..
..my dog came and licked my face and comforted me, so I'm OK now )
