I'm interested in whether it relates to usage during Fa Ching-(KIAA?) Interested in Healing usage. Also Pineal Gland mental abilities when raising energy to Upper Dan Tian (Third Eye)

I am currently researching some of these sounds and how they correlate to Qi Gong practices. I would recomend a book by Mantak Chia; "Turning Stress Into Vitality". It is very descriptive about the healing sounds and how they can help to govern the organs functions.
One of the things that Chia states is that the sounds are done at a sub-audible level. I think that this creates vibrations deeper in the body so they can stimulate the corresponding organ.
I am not sure if a particular sound is used durring fa jing. Fa jing is a quick release, explosion, of internal power. It is also the manifestation of other jings, (ie Heng jing - horizontal based power...)
Please let me know what you dig up. I find this to be a very interesting subject. Some others on this site may not feel the same way; but like KC said, DONT GIVE UP, especially if someone doesnt belive in it.
