Mr Vig, Nick B is correct.

Use PNF (Propreoceptive neuromuscular facillatation)stretching for developmental work and dynamic stretching after static stretching for warm up loosening off.
Balistic stretching damages the muscle spindle, for good reason it is a contra indicated exercise.
