Mono unsaturated fat and poly-unsaturated fats are the healthy sort. you can find them in olive oil, rapeseed oil, canola oil, nuts and seeds. Mono-unsaturated fat helps reduce harmful low-density lipoproteins (LDLs) which can cause blocked arteries.

Poly-unsaturated fats are broken down into 2 groups; Omega 6 Fatty Acids (found in unrefined safflower, corn, sesame and sunflower oils), and Omega 3 Fatty Acids, found in oily fish, linseed or flax oil, hemp oil, soybean oil, pumpkin seeds, walnuts, dark green vegetables.

Food containing saturated fat should be eaten in moderation like everything else. Saturated fats come from animal foods (meat, cheese, eggs, dairy).

Fat is good as long as it is in its natural condition. Vegetable oils are bad fats because they have been heated and damaged. Coconut oil, sesame oil and olive oil are okay because they aren't damaged when they get extracted like other oils. Lots of saturated fat is fine. Any fat from animals and natural foods is okay and very important for good health.
