I still don't see how you can pluck martial arts out of life and hold it separate. Unless you're like one of those Sunday only Christians.

That just throws the whole yin/yang thing out the window.

I agrre Tae. Many of the lessons learned in the dojo apply in life and vice versa.

Cellphone-jiutsu? Very popular with the younger generation.
Just point and shoot, cook your foe's brain, with stealth microwaves.
advanced technique for crowded train - disarm your opponent (identified by the irritating offbeat pop tune ring tone)and return the weapon to them - where the sun doesn't shine...

I got hit by one of those laser pointers while officiating a match and I went up into the stands after the young man and confiscated it! That boy's dad got as mad as a wet hen. He took that pointer from me, took that young man into the corner and let him have it up one side and down the other...

How about fishdo like in Beverly hills ninja?
What about book bags/breifcases/carry alls, as long as it does not have a computer in it. But then again whats the cost of a computer vs your life or bodily harm.

Great fun post!

I agree that you cannot necessarily separate home life from your MA training etc etc and that is fine. All im saying is that if you want to talk about baking or knitting just make sure the theme of the story is MA. For example you might inform us that upon stumbling across a burglar one night you stabbed him with a knitting needle and shoved a bag of self raising flower up his ass.Get my drift

What about something we all carry: keys? Even better with kubotan/Ya Warra Bo key rings. (legal in UK as long as used as a key ring, but not if seperated from keys).
Incidently Jaomni, None of my business, but why does the artillery in your "one man army" include "a closet full of expensive women's pointy heeled shoes"?? Or is that a private matter? LOL
