Wish there was a 'Like' button. Have to say: been there and done that.

The best that can come out of being chumped is that if one continues seeking quality martial arts they know what they don't want. The worst, is that the kids become disenchanted and quit MA altogether.

‘It’s a complete rip-off,’ I told Sasha when she was pleading with me to let her take the test.

‘Oh come on, Dad. We’ll look like idiots if we don’t have our red-and-white belts.’

‘On the contrary, the red-and-white belt is a sign that you’re an idiot for being suckered into this ridiculous Ponzi scheme.’

Hi Aplant,

I`ve had the pleasure of being in a dojo on each level.

McDojo - we had to pay through the nose for everything! Lots of different classes were on offer and we had the honour of buying a different uniform for each class we wanted to attend - Value for money! YES! But not for the customer!!
I rate the instruction 6/10 as we weren't always taught by someone legitimate.

Non-profit - no uniform required. No fees. £3 an hour and pay as you go.
Instruction 8/10 (too many styles taught to give it a 10 and a bit of standing about which I`m not a fan of).

Current Club - £20 joining fee and pay £5 per class. No need to buy a uniform until you do your first grading. Offers a beginners course so that they get attention the level they need. Concessions for unemployed and families.
Instruction 10/10 I cone out of class drenched. Not 1 single minute is wasted and everyone is expected to SWEAT!
