I don't know if anyone has seen this yet but I was pretty intrigued on who would win.

Here Yarborough (the big dude) has put up a better fight against Hackney. I really do find him pretty intriguing.

The old UFC's are all fun to watch..I think Yarborough vs. Hackney was UFC 1 or 2. IIRC all the sumo wrestlers lost in similar fashion.

I dont see how someoone that large could hope to be anything other than a punching bag. Sure he could probably take your head off, but he's going to have to work pretty hard to do that at his size. Hell he could lose 300 pounds and still be a big guy and probably move way better than what he did.

matches like that are really just for exhibition it seems like, i've seena million of em - Hong Man Choi vs. Fedor, Butterbean vs. Genki Sudo etc...

Apaprently 'giant battles' are really popular in Japan. everything like this i've ever watched has been an extremely one-sided fight, fun..but not really suprising.

I remember renting the UFC video; it was UFC3, you can see the "III" on the mat if you watch for it. As I remember, Hackney could not continue even though he made it through due to breaking his hand. This was my introduction to the UFC, the first one I had ever watched. To be honest, I did not really care too much for the earlier stuff, I more liked it later on when it was refined and weight classes came into effect; not the tournament formats. Also on that card a Canadian, can't remember who, almost won the thing advancing past at tired Royce Gracie who threw in the towel and then fought at the end a fresh guy who was an alternate for Shamrock who also couldn't continue. That really sucked.

Not impressive really those massive guys don't move the best. Hackney was pretty good too though.
