All,

This is MY idea, a new art, its everything I done for the last 25+ years or so

No Japanese, No Korean, just English for everything but its not "kickboxing" or "Karate in Jeans"

Still Basics
Still Forms (but it will be Form 1 - 2 - 3 etc)
Still Sparring
Still Uniforms (but Tracksuit Bottoms and a Rugby Shirt and Trainers)

Still Grades but Skill levels ie Basic 1 to 3 Intermidiate 1 to 3 Advanced 1 to 3 and the Instructor 1 to 3 and finally Senior Instructor 1 to 5 (as opposed to Kyu and Dan Grades)

I got the syllabus to finish then Its opening a "Gym" God how am I going to get use to not bowing or "OSU'ing"

And will you be 'Still Hanshi'? j/k

What's new about synthesizing one's knowledge, repackaging it, and not acknowledging one's teachers?

Nothing is new about "synthesizing" one's knowledge, especially when it stems over various styles as opposed to 1 style but want to change so that the pot becomes yours instead of your Dai Soke etc.

I'm already the head of my style so it would be me who is heading this too.

I will and always have acknowledged my Teachers and am internally grateful for all their guidance.

I though to myself the school I run is no longer a "karate" school in the "traditional" sense of the word. I only have bowing at beginning and end of the class, and before and after sparring. Sensei and Sempai are used sparringly. And the use of Japanese is aligned to the names of the kata and a few techniques, everything else is instructed in English.

We Wear the white GI but looking at getting Rugby Tops and tracky bottoms instead as the rugby tops will be able to cope with the grabbing and clinching and throwing that we do in the GI's

Thanks for your honest response

It will be predominately MY version Ashihara Karate Techniques but because I enjoy Chinese Arts too, I want to introduce the Black Tiger Form to the style as well as my Judo, without having a Label or being told you can't have that because that's Karate or that's Kung Fu or that's Judo, etc

The Chinese Named their Arts XXXX boxing or XXCX Fist etc so this is maybe where I get the Street Boxing from.

Not sure the naming thing is worth it unless you have a specific reason. For instance if you are looking to draw in a more RBSD or MMA/Combatives type crowd.

Beyond that, you can just call what you do Karate, not really anyone's business whether it's "officially correct" unless you are part of an organization that vets you or something.

And a +1 to Zach Zinn I have thought about it in the past though I don't consider myself good enough - that if I ever do start something it would be in similar fashion and I'd end up calling it Karate just because that's the one thing I am most experienced and comfortable with.
