Christie, have you tried doing any myofacial release on yourself with foam tube and a tennis ball?

Hi Christie,
First off, welcome back.
I know what it's like to miss out on a year or more of training, not fun.
I'm sorry that I cannot help with any of your problems, I just wanted to wish you the best in healing and everything else.

Thank you Joel

I'm going to try and post more often, not so much on martial arts training right now but on the topics surrounding them. There is more to be gained from this board then most realize. The best forum I've ever been to and returned to.

The place does seem to be a bit better than the last time I checked in.

P.S. myofascial release is awesome.

Also check out the Cat-Camel: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dEs6TcDcTYk
And the back side stretch: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qwaPfT63Sm0&feature=related

I use those all the time to avoid back pain. Other spinal flossing stretches can work as well. That said, there's no back exercise I like better than ab-wheel roll-outs, those really feel good when you get into them.

I am new and i want to tell all of you my painful story.I had been suffering for 5 years. I had been given muscle relaxers, pains killers and physical therapy. I tried shots, massages and over the counter pain relievers. All of this to no avail. When I saw no ads where I felt more comfortable, more important and at ease.

Not been here for a while, but re: pitches and vertigo, I had an attack of vertigo walking over a bridge. I felt giddy and off-balanced. It was the first time, so this was more disturbing than the actual experience in some ways.

I have tinnitus. I wonder, therefore, whether the OP might also have it to some degree and the pitches and tones irritate it to aggravate her balance.

I don't know if this is likely (or correct), just my own idea.
