Yes it was a fracture. When i think of break i usually picture like bone sticking out through skin which is not what happened. So yes i broke his elbow....im sorry for being so confusing.

I always thought a fracture was a crack in the bone and a break was a complete separation? I dont know clearly im not a medical person...but yes i fractured his elbow and as i said above the crack sound im not sure if it was his elbow or my wrist

So far as I know when a broken bone protrudes through the skin, that is called a compound fracture.
My son had one to his leg.

G'day ilhe4e12345

Thank you for explaining that I'm happy to give you the benefit of the doubt with that explanation. which means I also apologize for doubting you.

P.s. It was nice to not have you go all defensive, many would have considered my doubt as a insult or something. thank you for replying in a sensible manner.

with that clear I can only say well done.

drgndrew: your welcome. i have been part of different forums for many years and i know whats its like. some people just like to flame while others over react or lose it over a simple comment such as "well i think your wrong" or "i dont understand how you did that". i am always very politie even when someone "flames" me for no reason. there are trolls that just post on peoples topics just to get a reaction. your questions were honest and you had a dought, nothing wrong with that. we are human and we question things, its what we do smile Thank you for the words of good and i appreciate the time you have given to listen.

Don't need a medical definition, only Websters definition and Fracture means break! I have had both a cracked rib and a broken rib. When it was cracked thats how the Dr. defined it, when it was broken, he said fractured (and there's a pain difference too). The cracked rib didn't hurt as much but bothered me longer as an ache. The broken rib just plain old hurt like hell! Getting in and out of bed and my car (as well as breathing) was just down right painful! Hey, how about posting the vid of the incident if possible?

As an RBSD and Assault Prevention specialist I'd love to see the video, It would make a very interesting case study. I'd be more than happy to point out, typical pre assault behaviour and offer solutions both non violent and violent (obviously you have already shown one solution). Not that I consider my self an exert but it is kind of my thing.
