My mother used to carry a purse (which could have doubled for a survival pack). All ladies of that day carried one. They were actually portable weapons similar to hollow leather kettle bells weighted down with "stuff". That lady who tried to defend that sedentary school board, was just doing what her mama taught her.

I must have seen a different video. He was far from attacking her. He turned like she was crazy and she basically fell to the ground. And he looked at her, are you for real.

It was maybe not a bad idea since she has the element of surprise. But a kick to the nutz might have done better than her swining her purse at his hands.

I agree with Duanew, she had more balls than any of the cowards sitting on the board who did NOTHING after he turned his back to them when she smacked his arm! Don't think for one moment that he wasn't there to kill somebody. just because he didn't after at first doesn't mean he was going to continue to miss later. This guy had a history of stalking, maybe was just getting his nerve up by scaring them at first. Kudo's to the lady, she put her self out there, too bad she didn't get a better connect!

Upon first seeing the video, I thought that she was actually attacking him with her purse. She made a statement to a television reporter later on, tho, saying that her intent was to distract him.
