Although better known as a World Champion Heavyweight boxer, Vitali Klitschko was also a successful kickboxer back in the day. Here is a clip of him kickboxing. I'm not a kickboxing expert but he looked pretty sharp:

Just thought I'd share!

No idea why the thai boxer didn't work Vitalis front leg. Tough to check the leg kicks when you stand at such an extreme angle.

Well I think it's because leg kicks were not allowed. No leg kicks were thrown by either fighter that I saw. The Thai fighter, while clearly tough, couldn't deal with the reach advantage. He needed to get inside and couldn't. I think it was more an issue with experience than anything else.

Vitalis was able to use that stance because he didn't have to worry about leg kicks, he loaded the left leg and used it as a jab to create distance for his hands.

My issue was more that he didn't load that kick enough and his spin kicks were terrible. Always a bonus to fight a guy who is shorter and can't exploit your mistakes.

Yeah that may be, I jsut figured leg kicks were allowed as it appears to be international competition where low kicks are usually allowed. If leg kicks WERENT allowed than nothing wrong with vitali's stance. That's a good way to go if you don't need to worry about leg kicks or takedowns.
He's definitely more of a puncher but good lead leg body kicks.
