Hey everyone!
Later this month, I'm heading up to New York City to take in a Broadway show. (The Pee-Wee Herman Show!)
I've only been to NYC once before, and that was on a business trip. Just wondering if any of you can recommend a good, fun place to go for dinner before the show.
I know it's a very expensive city, but I'd like to go somewhere nice without breaking the bank.
Difficulty: I'd prefer to go somewhere within walking distance of 7th Ave, and W 43rd st.
Thanks!
Z

Lots of good places there. Though the names escape me, theres a pretty good Irish Pub up on 49th St (crossing Broadway) on the right hand side heading toward Rockefeller Center. Can't miss it, there's an elderly gentleman who sits on a stool outside who tells you about the specials and likes to flirt with the wives. Quieter upstairs, good sports place downstairs. A nice brew pub at the base of the Empire State Building as well (34th & 5th). Most everything is walking distance, even from 43rd to 34th. Enjoy the show (Saw Jersey Boys last January, enjoyed it alot, saw Wicked in Sept. That one is for the women. The upside for Wicked is they served beer in the theater).

Thanks, VDJ. I'll look into that.
Are you familiar with either St. Andrew's, or Pomaire? I'm reading mixed reviews about Pomaire, though their menu looks fantastic.
Also, I've heard ordering the Prix-Fixe menu at any restaurant is usually a sucker bet, as the portions are very small. Any thoughts on that?

I am not familiar with either. I have been to Pellegrino's in little Italy, 138-1 Mulberry St 212-226-3177. The food was very good and the portions decent (I dislike huge portions as much as to small).
