I'm 48, and going for Brown Belt in April. Old enough to know better, but crazy enough to do it anyway. Say a prayer, light a candle, do what whatever you do...

I was stunned to find that over 98% of FAF members are between 16-20 (assuming the poll is reasonably representative). A minute later, I was stunned at my stupidity not guessing it earlier.

Just turned 65.Still working out, riding my Ducati, and remain very healthy except for rotator cuff injury.began my journey with karate in 1969.It has been an enormous influence in my life.Martial arts has introduced me to many extraordinary people from whom I draw my motivation.Being a U.S. Marine doesn't hurt either.

I'm 17 and I've recently started TKD. I love it and want to continue it when I go on to college and even after college.

so this thread shows most are age 16-20. yet the site wishes to make it sound the average age is older and more educated (and by suggestion, therfore a more economically viable audience to advertise to). http://www.fightingarts.com/aboutus/adinfo.phpQuote:
FightingArts.com attracts a wide variety of well educated and sopohisticated Martial Arts readers, most with experience, with a high percentage of teachers, instructors, and those with an active interest in history, technique and the martial arts in general.
Overview of our readers:
Gender – 82% Male Age - 60% in the 25-45 age range Education – 67% at least some college Occupations - Over 50 % Management, professional or technical Household Income - 46% income over $35,000
Years Of Martial Arts Experience 10 Years + 54% 5-10 Years 19% 1-5 Years 21% 0-1 Year 6%
Visiting habits:
85% tell us that the articles are the right level for them. 55% visit the site at least once a week. 61% spend at least 6 hours per week on the site. 58% spend at least 21 minutes per typical visit.
if 61% spend 6 hours per week at the site - then they must be referencing forum members, since they never put out 6 hours of new articles on the site a month, never mind per week.
there was another poll done some time ago in the forums that asked how many years experience: http://www.fightingarts.com/ubbthreads/s...=0#Post15863529
false advertising to the advertisers...gotta love it.
