In any case, here's a question no one ever brings up, how would you organize a command and work structure?
Say you have a group of 24 survivors with varying skills.
Firstly, I would bring everyone together, but I would not presume the leadership role. Some awesome people on my list, and I play well with others, especially if it means I dont get eaten by the undead

If I were chosen as overall leader, I would split people into core skill groups, and from there, devide them into autonomous cells, each with specific responsibilities, so if team A is working in a 'higher risk' area to establish a safe house, I would stand the squints of team B down, and divert their a$$-kickers to that task. If Team C were establishing a rope/pulley transport system between two buildings, then I would divert squints from team's A&D, and have all combat operatives unite to protect that task.
All groups would live in a single, heavily fortified safe camp, and in times of no active duty, would be asked to teach their skills to all others, thus increasing the flexibility of grouping of resources as we go.
