So this Saturday I have to be at the airport in Edmonton for 6:00 AM for my flight to Denver, Colorado, USA. On Sunday I will be going to the Edmonton Oilers vs. Colorado Avalanche game (NHL). On Monday, and the main reason for my trip, I will be seeing my Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Denver Broncos (NFL) for the Monday Night Game.

It has always been my dream to go see a NFL game. It has always been a dream to seem my Pittsburgh Steelers. So when I got a call from my buddy, a Denver Bronco's fan, saying we should go to this game, I said "Hell Yeh".

2009 started out horrible with a flood in my basement, having to rebuild a fence due to a huge storm, regrading of my property, landscaping, vehicle problems and then my health; high blood pressure and some heart scares. Well things are on track and I'm making changes to my life for the better. I took my family on a vacation this year, I went on a 4 day sport bike trip through British Columbia, joined the Auxillary RCMP and now am going to see a long awaited NFL game as I've been a fan since 1980.

Life can't wait, you have to take the reigns and guide it yourself. The only way life can get better is if you are willing to make the difference. This is my start.

Thats great Dereck.

Last month my dad discovered a tumor in his leg, and the doctors told us it looked malignant and most likely was.
After it was taken out and examined they told us that it in fact was gone, and was a rare (2%) type of tumor which could be taken out and all would be well, thank F***.

Anyhow, kind of made us all realise that life isnt all that long, and we should make the most of it.
My mum and dad have never been overseas, and are making time to go to Rome, Paris and some other places sometime soon.

So I couldnt agree more with you smile

Good news guys, and glad to hear it! Here's to a better 2010 for all of us, and I plan on taking your advice, as well.

2009 has been the worst year of my life so far, but you gotta keep on truckin' and as they say in Zombieland 'enjoy the little things' wink
2010 had better be on its game though, or I might entertain going postal.......MWAHAHAHA-WOOPWOOP!!!! crazy

Good to see you reaping some rewards for all your years of sacrifice Dereck, you deserve it.

Crab, I feel ya' , cancer in the family is a weight on everyone's shoulders, and i am real glad that the outlook is bright for your dad cool

Thanks guys, getting excited as the days get closer. Been battling a little bit of sickness but staying home today to tend to this so that I don't get worse. Haven't even worked out as that would just make it worse.

Sorry to hear about that Crab. Glad they are taking advantage of life as well.
