A rival school with an aggressive marketing campaign takes out a google ad with the header "Looking for ____" and fills in the blank with your name followed by a hyperlink to their school. The tactic seems to be to redirect people who might be looking for you specifically, into coming to their website by implying some affiliation.
When they are called on it, they say it must have been a mistake and they will have their "web team" address it. When pressed, they get defensive and say that their attorney said there was nothing illegal about it.

Unethical for sure. I would check with a lawyer about legality.
