Excellent use of improvised weaponry.

It also illustrates a point with regard to improvised weapons, the best improvised weapon is the one your most familiar with.

You learn to use the items you are already familiar with in the way you are familiar with them. for example how many times have you seen the recommended use of keys in self defence by interlacing the keys between the fingers. this is simply absurd, for one thing you don't carry or use your keys in that manner, you also don't have proper control of the keys seeing as the fingers aren't designed to grip things tightly between them.

Instead of tearing your webbing and risking breaking your metacarpals by striking with a fist (that can not be fully clenched) why not use them as they are designed. hold the key as if you would when opening a door, between your thumb and forefinger. The grip will be much more secure, you will have more dexterity and control over the weapon (key), you have more options (stabbing, raking, twisting etc), and you practice the use of it every time you unlock your car or house door. you are already familiar with it you are already fairly accurate with it even when imp[aired (your still able to unlock your door when drunk for eg) and it is more physiologically sound then holding it in some unnatural way.

only little off topic
