Harlan will obviously speak up, one hopes? "Average", not by a long shot IMHV-fwiw, and here is why.
The first kata listed did not possess a single speck of dopey melodrama.

It was fluid, not staccado <sp.?>

And while some of the movements were "stylized" (ie style specific distance between feet) structurally it looked well done and in tact to me at least

IMO, on those basis Harlan is dead right... it is special in a spooky way! Something rare...
