Most make it look like they're just hugging their attacker's arm and showing them how to apply an easy RNC. Barad Member Registered: 11/27/06 Posts: 427	Yes, a lot of the throws start with something, a strike or a pinch of the skin say, to get a reaction so that the person being thrown actually moves their weight in the right direction to aid the throw. Also, a lot of the throws have the intention of locking up the arms of the person thrown so they cannot breakfall and land on their head or back of the neck, nasty and effective but obviously impossible to practice with a partner at speed. I visited Sensei Vince Morris' website plenty of times and I have seen one of his Kissaki-Kai tapes, one of the basic ones "Kissaki-Kai Karate-Do", I believe it was called. It really opened my eyes to what Karate really could be, as opposed to what my Sensei limited it to. I think that it is cool that you are promoting his stuff or getting the word out. Still it was a very good session, mostly on Kanku Dai and I bought his Tekki dvd. I train with him whenever he comes back to the UK if I can. He is based outside Philadelphia so not a million miles from you. I cannot remember if he has a club closer to Maryland-I will have a look. Ben

I really like his take on the kata bunkai and he has some really nasty applications for even the most basic of techniques. It must have been a real treat to have trained with him in person.
