A few months ago, at a tournament, myself[kung Fu artist] along with my competitors presented our weapons to the judges for inspection. I, standing beside the Wushu individual, had a Northern Broadsword of fine craftmanship[my Sifu's]. The judge gave it a few hits, tried twisting the hilt, and did so with little care if he broke it. That is his job, after all. Now, when he steps to the Wushu individual and accepts the sword and proceeds with the same treatment, only he pulls the blade right out of the handle.

I will never forget the look on the judges face. It seems that was a first ever for him.

it's been a while since you posted this but whatever... do you use wushu steel? or actual weapons. i only ask because i am not very familiar with tournaments, i dont believe my school has performed for quite some time, before i joined. also if you have a specific style? i just like to hear what people are learning
