No... against the grain of the TONE and CONTEXT of the preceding posts from the likes of people like Ed, Matt and Brian... it wasn't a comment about the CONTENT of your post. My comment was that I would like to see more of that type of CONTENT HERE in THIS forum from other people, like yourself - rather than the snide personal remarks that pervades the rest of this thread and forum. Maybe, to you (and others), I'm speaking in a different "language", but to my mind I'm talking about the SAME things... You seem to be handling things quite well in that forum... I didn't think you needed my (or anyone else's) echos of validation or support.

But that is not what you said:

Much better. Thank you. Personally, I'd like to see more posts like this from you and other people as well

You just have to say what you mean Eyrie. How can I respond to something in your head, when what you type is not the same thing?

I was more thinking along the lines of taking an interest in the knowledge available, and adding to it. Validation I get from years of positive results, support I get from my Calvins

Implied...

I thought we've already established the fact that we're generally talking about the same things? Sport science/kinesiology is not my line of work... don't expect me to speak in the same terms as you do. I can only speak to what I know/understand from my frame of reference. I can see we're obviously speaking to the same things. So why can't you?

It's still not clear what constitutes 'Internal' in the IMA sense.
Is it the training method of using antiquated and archaic poetic descriptions of internal theory to subjectively describe the dynamics of optimizing physical movement? or can an IMAist physically do something that someone not thinking or trained in those terms cannot do?
If it does have benefit, do we know what those benefits are? If not, why care? there are whack-jobs who look at the sun for hours a day and claim energy this and that...people who swear by being stuck randomly with needles will heal this and that....people who believe in NTKO as a projection of this and that....and many of them would claim their phenomenon either falls within the boundry of science, or argue that science has not yet discovered it's elusive properties.
it's the same category of argument and rebuttal as the god question - can't disprove a falsity. nobody can physicaly produce a god, and nobody can physically produce IMA benefit. can't disprove there isn't a flying spegetti monster, but the reason the idea of trying to do so seems rediculous is because there isn't concensus of people believing it. The more people that believe it, the less it needs to prove itself - which is a path that takes people on a journey of getting further and further away from reality, and away from the truth.
knowing there are people like that, is a debate with them even necessary?
