Supremor Professional Poster Registered: 07/22/04 Posts: 2510 Loc: UK	Yep, can't escape politics in tournaments, although I don't think it was so different 50 years ago. When Kimura fought Helio Gracie, the mats were extremely soft so as to neutralise the judoka's biggest strength- throws. Since Helio was obviously trying to prove the superiority of his art, it would be foolish to think the state of the mats was mere coincidence.
