Geez, these are some tough chicks! I really think Dana White is missing the boat on women's MMA. Some good technique, AND some scary power from the ladies! Gina Carano better bring her "A-game" for either one of these girls.

I really enjoy watching womans MMA, in my opinion the techniques are cleaner than their male counterparts. For the same reason I occasionally watch Chuck Norris' World Combat League, there are some superb kick boxers in that league, and unlike female boxing, I don't think I could last a round standing against the woman in WCL. Those ladies can fight...and look good doing it.

I thought Cyborg was pretty badass in the EliteXC fight this weekend. Carano is tough but I haven't seen her have the type of aggression that Cyborg came with. The premature celebration was kind of funny. I did think the fight was over for a split second though.

Those ladies should be fighting for 5 minutes though. They can hang no problem so I don't see why they aren't given the same amount of time to showcase their skills. A lot can happen in the last two minutes of a round and a lot of times a patient fighter who is losing can pull it out when the other guy gets tired. Are these ladies' fights technically exhibition bouts or are women sanctioned just the same as men in the state's view?

Good question. I assumed they were sanctioned bouts, but I can't find any info on sanctioning women's MMA anywhere. Anybody else know anything about it?

To be honest, I'm not sure about the chicks fighting. I will admit that Cyborg demolished her opponent and looked very skilled but the other women I saw fight I wasn't too impressed. Gina Carano is hot and I've watched her a few times however if you look at her last fight that she won, her punches were way off and she was hitting more with her wrists and swinging for the fences.

There are tough chicks out there, don't get me wrong. I've seen some local events with women fighters that I was very impressed with. However I don't think they could get the draw like the male fighters do and that comes down to money and that is what Dana is thinking of. Perhaps if there was enough women doing it and they were high calibre then Dana would look into it however the pool of female fighters is very low so you would see the same old fighters unlike the males where there is an abundance to choose from.
