Sure, some of the things he does could be accredited to his karate/kata training. Most of it is the same as other mma stars.
Now, when some mma guy ko's him, I don't want to hear it.
Hi Brian,
Hi Creative. I still have reason to beleive that you are a complete begginer. Doesnt matter we are all learning.
and Matt.
Gyaku zuki,= That could be duplicated by boxing technique
Age uke = I dont see many MMA,s using this in stand up? Could you show me a MMA star using age uke effectively in the/ or just before going in to a clinch?
Mae geri= can be duplicated.
This is the sequence that lead to the ko on the first video
That is reverse punch, upward block/ strike, and front kick for people who dont do karate.
So for none kata practioners who deem kata not worth while where do you see these techniques and in which kata and if you dont know then how can kata practice not be usefull in assisting with training?
For kata practioners in which kata would you say are those techniques?
And yes I can see where his kata training/ two man drill training would assist him to win fights.
I can also see J,Kogas,s input in to other threads about grappling where J, kogas,s input would help someone to win MMA fights.
So for a person wishing to win fights then why discount an element of training that increases the chances of winning?
Jude

Hi jood.
I'm glad you revived this thread with your thoughtful contributions.
By mere words you can deduce that user 'creative' is a beginner. I think you are much more of a beginner than he. How old are you anyway? I'd say early 20's if I had to guess.
You added nothing else to this thread worth addressing.

This has gone WAY beyond the point where a mod should have locked this down.
Are they all on vacation or something? Did I miss something when they were given the Spring off?

Aah Brian - like music to my ears! I haven't seen anyone using this grammatical construction (as opposed to the ubiquitous "more of a beginner than him" (yuk)) since 1978. Full marks!!!
Now can someone kill this thread before it becomes even more ridiculous? It is too long anyway. When it gets past 20 pages you can't even tell what the last page is!

No, don't kill it yet. This is my first post on the thread after lurking for a while and I need a few answers: -is Creative actually a beginner or a soke? -what formal training does Jude do and has he done (classes, grades, length of training etc). -absolute, final, definitive answer on whether kata will help me become an MMA champion. I am 5 foot 10 and a half and I weigh about 14 stone. B.

Well that is some of them answered at least. The Pina colada (literally "strained pineapple" in Spanish) song-that is one bit of my miserable childhood I thought I had repressed forever but thanks for reviving it... Who are Ridge and Brooke, MMA fighters? B.

Characters from the soap opera 'The Bold and Beautiful'. Although, every day viewer knows no matchup will ever compare to the Luke and Laura saga.

The song is meant to be about a "personals" column ad.

Lol! That must be the best line in this thread! I watched about 5 minutes of BB 15 years ago while I was in hospital. I watched it again for about 30 seconds the other day - and they're still there, apparently getting together and breaking up. Someone tells me their history goes back a couple of decades more. Sounds a bit like some people on this forum...
