I remember outside class, a kid picked a fight with me (pretty muscly and good at boxing). I did a little movement with my left arm to 'draw his attention' then punched him in the stomach with my right. He attacked me and I kept sidestepping and he only punched me in the arm. I winded him and he keeled over, so i elbowed him in the back and he dropped even more, then i grabbed his hair and mimed doing a deadly knee to the head (did not do). I felt pretty good afterward.

What is the point of this story? To boost about your fight? I wouldn't be proud of something like this in the first place. What happened to trying to 'walk away'?

what's the point of others telling stories? in life, there's things you don't walk away from, YOU FINISH IT.

One of the fights that I am most proud of goes back from the age of 7 to about 16-17 years old. A close friend of mines older brother had always whipped me handly from that age until that day. He was bigger always stronger and though at the age of about 13 he could not stand with me he would asorb some punches take me down and mount me and beat me down.
This time I was caught by surprises in the company of two young ladies from out of town his brother Darrell had parked at the local store to get cokes. I assume Frank, Darrell's brother saw us pull up and he wanted to embarass me. I sat in the car entertaining when all of a sudden I was placed in a headlock, I responded by slipping out the back capturing his wrist and running my forearm up his back as I ridgehand across his chin with my forearm locking my fingers of both hands over his shoulder. This formed a choke/lock that no matter how he squrimed or tried to power out only added to the lock and choking himself. I held it until I heard him cry uncle for the 3rd time. When I release him he stumbled away and from that day on he never confronted me again aggressively. A new area had arose new confident in my technique and pride in who I am.
Imagine 9-10 years of beat down washed away because he tried to embarasse men in front these girls. Usually these fights were me trying to defend my brother from Darrell's attack and Darrell would backing away and his older brother taking his defense. My younger brother Ron was always getting into fights sometimes with my best friends. Me and Darrell are still friends Me and his brother Frank still hold the same respect established that day in that car.
Of course now I'm bigger, stronger, faster than he and more skilled in every range of fighting but I don't threaten him because we both remember that day. I know I still do, 9-10 years of beat down, I was always close while street boxing but that wasn't good enough we were not playing horse shoes or playing period. That hurt for a long time.
Knowledge is power and Respect feels good!

The thing is in several posts he says he does train in several arts, to keep up his lvel and to learn new techniques. Then in others he says he doesn't learn MA.
Must be a JKD thing.

Yeah...i'll bet that looked cool. You really expect anyone to believe that?
I hope you don't ever try any "deadly miming techniques" when it really hits the fan.

And as a non-martial artist of course you know everthing about what a 'true' martial artist should posses. (it's a shame sarcasm doesn't always come across on a forum, so yes, this was said with bucket loads of sarcasm for whoever could not read into it)

OK you [censored]*ng asswipe, you are f*cking gone. Banned. You talk like that to a woman in front of me, in person and then you can judge what MA training has given me- I will f*cking end you you c*nt. You are gone, you coward. Live with your shame, or die- that would be preferable.

I know myself well enough to know I am nothing like what you suggest saying. In this case I also value my own judgement of me over your test-outcome.
I have never claimed to be a 'true martial artist', I merely train in one.
My weakness? To reply to something that is not worth replying, and that is why I am walking away now, something I should have done much earlier.

This so called test or yours, has nothing t do with MA whatsoever. It's just about etiquettes and decency.
You could have come up with something different. More decent.

Well, you do proclaim to know or understand far more than people who have been studying and training in martial arts longer than you have probably been alive. Man, probably longer than I've been alive. Only two type of people would proclaim they know more then people who have more years of experience and knowledge of a subject. Those are, a child and an idiot. Now, you are one or the other. You could be both, but there is at least some good news. You can outgrow at least one of them!
But seriously, if you want to outgrow the other, I suggest less talking and more listening.
edit: (ah well, he's gone now huh, hmm, I wonder if he will become one of the famous trolls of fighting arts. I hope not, he has a big enough head already) Sorin

Indeed - well done.
I was hoping he'd read my rather formal, indirect criticism on "minimum standards" and take the hint (since it wasn't directly confronting him) but I think I gave him too much credit. As my sensei used to say, some people only understand one thing...
I hope this whole pointless, embarrassing topic he created can now die a quiet death.

It's been a while since i've seen such a universal appraise for having someone banned. Well since glad2bedozer and a couple others. I'm glad this tool is gone.
