I'm looking to get a good solid cave man style workout going. About how much would a 400-500lbs tractor tire cost me? Also I've got some kettle bells, a good rope climb system and nice sized medicine ball (you know toss as far as you can sprint toss again, fun stuff). Any other gear/ideas for the workout?

You can probably get a tyre from a garage or something cheap? I drove to a farm and got mine for free. The farmer would have to pay to get rid of it and was more than happy to let me take it off his hands.

You could try a junk yard they always have tires around. If you can't get one you can always cut down a big tree and flip different size pieces. Plus cutting the tree is a great workout too.

Do not cut down trees. They are a vital part of the ecosystem- they provide a home for creatures, moss, other plants.
Their living roots help control the water table, and also stabilise hillsides in heavy rain.
Some types of tree are endangered, and protected from deforestation by law.
A big tree has been there for hundreds of years, and will be there hundreds after you are gone- providing you dont chop it down for fun.
saving the environment starts on an individual level, and respecting other living things as more important than our selfish pleasures is a good place to start.

You could try pushing your car around instead of driving it. That would help the environment as well!
On a more serious note Karate Kid's Mr Miyagi wasn't far wrong with his 'wash on wash off' advice. You can make almost any chore into a training regimen focusing on stance and posture, where you generate the power from etc. The weights don't need to be excessive as with a tractor tyre as you could just put more physcial power into each movement. Should be more interesting than the gym and will give you strength over wider ranges of movement. Bear in mind that if you're strength training to improve martial art skills then in martial arts you often need to change the direction of force quickly and smoothly. Most weight training regimens don't allow for this as force is applied in one direction only. Anyway have fun experimenting. Trying out new routines should help prevent body and mind from stagnating.
