I was just wondering if a Folk Style Forum could be considered? A forum for indigenous martial arts that are unique to certain countries and cultures that don't really have a home on FA?

I was thinking it could house anything related to folk styles around the world, such as Capoeira, Sumo, Irish Stick fighting, La Canne... the list could go on.

I suppose I mean that the criteria would be that they aren't practiced widely outside of their specific culture/country.

Any thoughts?

Not to mention DBZ, NTKO, and other home-brew MA.

Besides, I don't think there are enough practioners of those regional MA on this site to warrant having a forum. It wouldn't get much play.

Afterall, martial arts started from a thought like everything else.

I like the idea of a folk style forum, but like said.. how much would it be used?

It might be a good idea for gneral interests. I imagine a lot of people don't necessarily look into places like 'weapons' if thy don't do them but might browse an 'ethnic' forum.
