Pictures of Your Weapon of Choice

I know, there's a topic similar to this, but this one's SPECIFICALLY for pictures. So...yeah. Go ahead and post one or two pictures of your favorite weapon, no matter how tattered or beaten. I just thought it'd be cool to see what people like to use while practicing. And for the sake of keeping this topic tidy, let's restrict posts to only pictures and comments to pictures..... .....And maybe comments to comments...if they're funny enough.... I'd post a picture of my bo or kama, but I don't a have a digital camera. Oh, and if this exact same thing has been done before, mods: feel free to delete this topic.

I don't have a picture of one favorite, but here's my new weapon rack, with most of my weapons on there. The staves are my favorite, I've probably spent the most time with the rattan staff. missing from the picture are the sai and tonfa, chain whip, and iron fan.

Wow...nice wepons, both of you...
I wish I could afford so many weapons, but I have to put half of my money to college, and half my time to school. In the end, my "me money" doesn't quite add up...

Yeah...I covet WuXing's collection.
As for buying stuff...I'm a charity case. My teacher loans me all the stuff until I can buy it on my own. I still use his tonfa...and it's been 4 years!! LOL!

I was single, and didn't do anything besides work and practice martial arts. I had a cheap 1 bedroom apartment, minimal bills, and no social life. So that's where most of the weapons came from. If I needed a weapon for practice, I got it, didn't have to think about it too hard. What else do I need money for, besides martial arts dues and equipment? *lol*

Wuxing I like your collection of weapons. I have a lot of those. That rack is perfect for that too.

Nice one =) I personally like revolvers. Especially the .357 Perfect defense round, and can fit into palm sized revolvers.

Upload the picture to some online service, like Photobucket. Then, use the 'reply' option here (not 'quick repy'). On that page, you'll see a small box to the lower right on the screen labeled "Instant UBB Code ". Choose 'Image'...and you should be able to past the URL/link in the dialogue box/prompt.

Thanks Master Harlan. Just the remnants (many pieces given away over the decades) of my modest collection of traditional South-East Asian weapons that I used to train with in my much younger days. The piece on the left (called a "tumbuk lada" -- pepper pounder) is over 100 years old and used to belong to a personal bodyguard of a sultan and may have seen some action. The "kerambit" at the bottom is hand-made in the traditional style with a buffalo horn handle and it is at least 25 years old. The one on the right is a Javanese farming tool cum weapon with a rosewood handle and brass fittings. For scale the floor tiles are 10 inches square. Just to show how small and difficult to detect a kerambit can be and also of course to practice some more image hosting skills. [image]http://[/image] http://img176.imageshack.us/img176/161/dsc01315fa8.jpg

About 25 years ago I carried a diary with me for protection. I just realised after 25 years that the page is opened to 'Friday the 13th' [image]http://[/image] http://img180.imageshack.us/img180/6383/dsc01318rq1.jpg

I swear (by all the saints ever sanctified) that the Friday the 13th part is absolutely coincidental; unless there is some ancient restless malevalent forces working on some subconscious level of the psyche of which I was not at all aware. Now you are scaring me And the diary's "content" was never used in anger for the last quarter century or more and probably never will be as I do not carry a diary anymore since I retired. I now find that at aged 59, cash solves problems a lot faster.

Only reason I carry a .45 is they don't make a .46. Nice mouse gun though.

I believe this post is about martial arts' weapons; if not, then I do have some pictures of my shoulder-carried rocket launcher.

Actually...the original post doesn't specify 'martial arts'. Just says 'weapon of choice'. Heck...given a choice...I'd choose a car over a bo. 'TOWANDA!'

Answer: yes. Upload the picture to an online spot/server, like Photobucket, first. Quote:

Neko, are you a gun/weapons dealer?
This reminds me NOT to argue too much with you.
Does the 456 in Neko456 has something to do with your arsenal?

Wow It's like in the matrix when they say: "what do you need?, Guns, lots of guns." And you've got em. That is a seriously nice collection, how long has it taken to reach that amount?

Harlan no just a litte Iaido and a little Kila and palor tricks, but I don't really train the sword fencing with the sword. Maybe you could work with me if we ever are to meet.
Butterfly palm - I'm not a weapon dealers just a Good ole boy from the midwest most of us have a small collections of favorites. Its either be there or be square.
JoshuaMonjin - It took a while I sold some of my revovlers and Taurus sig clones autos and held the ones that I trully liked. Trust me this is a small collection compare to some here.

I have a few different weapons, but the one I'll show here is my favorite sword. Its a pretty solid chopper, nice and durable, handles well enough, holds an edge exceptionally well and can take a good lot of punishing. Its seen a lot of treatment that many sword users would call abusive, but I prefer to think of it as 'testing'. This is my sword, as you can see the wrapping of the handle has experienced pretty bad wear and tear, but the blade itself has excellent integrity. An example of the blades integrity - It passed my 'stump biting' test with flying colours, biting deep (on every slice, not just the one where it went into a crack >_>) and taking no damage aside from extremely minor cosmetic damage which is easily fixed with a little blade care know how. It handles nicely, I'm able to easily hit my mark with this blade, as in this example I threw an apple up and sliced it (not entirely impressive in itself, but with some swords I find this particular task difficult, which makes it a good sword-handling test) That said, it does feel a little heavy, but well balanced. Its definately a chopper more so than a cutter though.

Here are my babies: The only difference is I've had the tang and tsuka on the katana lengthened to 13" and re-wrapped with full same and leather wrap. (other less scrupulous smiths would have just extended the stuka, but he went in and added inches to the tang)It'a ha heavy sword and that extra few inches on the tsuka makes it handle and cut so much easier. It's a beast and glides through 3 double sized wara like buttah. ;)Fred Lohman at http://japanese-swords.com/ in Portland Oregon is the man. He does great work restoring or altering swords. I'll try and post an actual photo of the Katana with the upgrades. It's even got sminners, man! The cutting motion stops but hte blade keeps on spinnin'.

My favorite. As for what I actually have-a police style Taurus .357 with a 6 inch barrel, target sights, and a rubber grip.

Stormdragon,
