Train for use of the katana and I've seen enough mythbusters to be sold on it being awesome if I get into using it for real one day. Only other weapon that really interests me is a jointed staff and that wasn't on there =p

Did'nt See The Chinese Straight Sword Called By So Many Different Names.(Tai Chi Sword or Wu Jian). And I'm A Little Curious Why The Wing Chun Bunch Has'nt Mentioned The Double Butterfly Swords.

don't even ASK why coat hangers are there. I draw swords and other things and I just took the options off my menu, leaving out ridiculous things like gunblades and a few other things

then again, a coat hanger COULD make a decent weapon.

nunchaku for me find them relaxing to use and a great arm workout.

I train with extremely short sticks called chizikun bo. Some people call them tekko but that's not the correct terminology. It's a short stick (Sticks out of the closed fist about 1/2 to 1 inch on either side) with a loop of either rope or leather in order to insert a single finger.

I also train with the cane using hapkido and escrima techniques mostly. I just like all of the locks, traps, hooks and throws that the crook is so very useful for. It also happens to be legal to carry anywhere no matter your age.

Guan Dao rules!! I love mine, especially the gasps it brings when I unsheathe it before a competition. (Got to perform it to the accompaniment of taiko drums once, it was awesome.) For the record I also train with staff, and have a little time in with fans.

favorites are mid-range jhang bong (long stick), bhang mang ee (escrima sticks) and (in need of a LOT of training to even be a beginner) katana (gum-do).

Hmm... I love my kubaton, it is likely the one I use the most. I am pretty accurate with my pistol, also. I am also learning to use the sai, and loving those, too!

But, all in all, gimme my gun or my katana, any day of the week.

while a while i have been using the meteor hammer but i have recently discovered something called "flying weight". its similar to a rope dart because it has a point but a heavy as a meteor hammer. i dont think i would be able to find a place to learn it so i guess im stuck:<

I've been working on learning fan (tessen), but not in a soft style like kung fu or tai chi. I've done some reading and decided to use it in a harder way (I do karate), with more strikes, jabs and hard slashes--no smooth waving or throwing from hand to hand. I've read that fans were used in ancient Japan in places where other weapons were forbidden, and were also used by law enforcement either alone or in conjunction with a type of mace (name escapes me at the moment.) So far, I use just one fan, not two; I think I'm going to stick with that as it seems to me more logical for a practical weapon of self-defense. Not that I'm going to carry the thing around with me, but it makes my imaginary fighting (kata) seem more real to me.
