I was interested in CKM to but when I looked into it, it seemed a bit dubious. I spoke to my friend, a krav studennt who sent me this link http://www.realitybasedtraining.co.uk/commando.htmlI found a few others that put me off a bit about Moni aizik and some of his claims not being true - anyone know more ?

That's pretty much what I heard about him, I am not sure if any of it is true or not. I think I have seen and heard more negative things than positive.

Guys my fighting systems experience was mainly in CKM until i swopped to UKM as i felt the UKM system better suited my needs and didnt have any of the outlandish claims CKM made to which alot of guys were dubious about.
CKM as a system is still very good but unfortunately the head management is its let down.

Is this supposed to be a post? What is this, what topic are bringing up. It seems like advertising. Explain yourself or it will be deleted and you will be banned.

So we now have a KM group, not affiliated to any of the governing bodies, developing its own syllabus, which used to based around CKM and changed its name because of well-documented problems with a certains instructors claims? Reminds me of the ninjutsu craze in the early 1980s.

The link I posted (now deleted) wasn't for for my business. I've only been doing KM for a few months as a hobby... and enjoying it I must say. I was doing a few seaches for KM and came across this site. Higher up the thread there are posting for other KM clubs so I didn't think I'd be outta line posting a link to the one I go to.
To be honest the whole "my version of KM is better than yours" doesn't really appeal to me in the slightest. I joined the club because a friend of mine wanted someone to go with. I thought I'd go to a few classes and see what the story was. I got addicted... The people are nice (the bruises are a bit mad though!) and as a nice side effect I've lost some weight.
If someone decides to go to the club then great. If not I'm not gonna loose any sleep over it cause I've nothing to gain! All I wanted to do was to share the news that there's a club in Belfast. I didn't realise the negative reaction my posting would get.
So feel free to delete my post and ban me... Oh and thanks for the warm welcome!

You're welcome to post here. But what you have to understand is that lately this site has become barraged by people spamming, and advertising products/academies/ and everything else. So when we see a post like yours, with a link without context, we're going to ask about that. And it there is no response for a week, we'll delete the link. Note that you weren't banned, but you're link was deleted. Had you clarified earlier (as you were asked to do) perhaps the link would've remained.
Enjoy the forums, but please acquaint yourself with the rules.
