Any advice on how to block really powerful and fast blows? Like what type of blocks. I throw him off doing pai lum attacks with the wrists, and are very circular motion.

Don't block. You can try to parry (easier on your arms, and better control of the opponent), or step in and clinch. I prefer to clinch up if I can with bigger guys. Better than getting hit!

I could try that, but I dont really have any history in practicing clinching.

if your just playing with some friends, why not play with it. grappling is fairly natural, obvisouly proper instruction would help you pwn these fools, but your just messing with them. im sure you wrestled with friends as a kid. if your smart with it you can pull or push him all over, just catch his weight when he moves and haul on it to keep it moving.

when hes trying to steady himself then you can tag him with a few good shots. if your quick you can fake a shot at his face and when he leans back to aviod it shoot in for a leg take down, or make a kick to his grion and he might bring his hands there to defend, so you can either grab his head and neck, or snatch one of the arms he defends with and tug on it or what have you.

play with it, use your strikes to open spots for impromptu clinching. play with it.

SOL -

Exactly. Just grab him, and go for it.

Thanks SOL and Matt
Your right I might as well try. I can also try it at sparring. Thats what sparring is for; to practice techniques on your opponent.
