no shirt on and shorts. I saw a guy doing this with his girlfriend on the back in a BIKINI

My friends father is a surgeon and referred to these as "donor bikes" because they are usually young healthy men with good organs.

I know they enjoy the speed and the freedom, but I doubt they appreciate the risk.

Yeah but you have to take those risks to get the girl in the bikini!

A few of my friends are big into bikes and my dad used to motor race. One of my best friends fathers is a vegetable after an accident.

Personally, I think the risk of owning a bike would always put me off.

But I can understand the thrill it gives some people. Its not my place to tell others what to do especially when they know the risks. Obviously, the consider this and offset it against the thrill they get from riding.

The bike can be scary and must be respected, much like a gun. Every time I get on my bike I realize that there is a chance I can get hurt. Even if I play it safe and do everything by the book I still have to watch out for other people and their mistakes.

Going a 100 mph is a flick of the wrist on a bike and not something too hard to obtain. You really don't think about it when you are passing or when you just want to hit that straight away and give it. The most I've gone is 149 mph and it felt like nothing. I wasn't even scared until I looked at the speedometer and then immediately slowed down. In fact the slowing down scared me more then the acceleration.

In town when going to class I may not wear my bike coat and gloves but all highway driving you can be sure I would whether it was hot or not. And I always where jeans one way or the other. Those people driving in shorts I just shake my head at, what are they thinking. And especially those ones that are doubling people ... stupid.

Anyways I thought I'd show you what my bike looks like.

The 2007 Yamaha YZF-R6; I love this thing. I've removed the rear fender and incorporated the signal lights in with the tail lights to clean up the back end. Have a black windshield, frame sliders and have put flush mounted front signal lights on it. Have about 3000 km (1865 miles) on it so far. It is a blast.

My Here's to asking Cord to help an working man, find a simple, effective strength training program that will target what I need in as little time as possible! Up to the challenge bro?

PM me with details of your specific shoulder issues (what movements hurt, any diagnosis you have had), how much time you want to spend lifting and how many times per week (make these minimum figures, you can get away with doing suprisingly little if you want ), and what equipment you have access to. also a little background on what you have done (olympic lifts?, machines only? basic free weight movements?)
Give me the gen and i will give you a routine amigo

When I was a cop, we had a case where somebody on a motorcycle wrecked on a newly paved road and was wearing shorts and flip-flops. He didn't have any skin left on his body ANYWHERE... He was put into a saline bath at the hospital, and we could hear him screaming three floors away.

Like your friend's father, we used to call them "donorcycles".

If you recall my previous post here regarding my new job, apparently I was wrong. My boss and the admin are MORE than friends so I may not be here after my 90 day probation is up because of it. I am already beginning to see signs of a paper trail being created. I have kept all my documentation for the work that I have done that has been questioned in some of the e-mails.

I hate office politics. I have no tolerance for them and I do not play along so I always wind up on the short end. I confronted my boss about it and he assured me that it was a complete misconception although he did say that he needed to talk to me about some issues with my work in the same breath. Hmmmm....

On the lighter side, looking forward to the East Coast Get Together this weekend. I may bring the little guy with me too. He is with me this weekend and said he wanted to go. He trains so it might be fun for him. I will however bring plenty of distractions for him just in case.

Again sorry to hear about the work issue Scottie. You are correct that sure is a lot of office politics to deal with, I see it at my place as well. For us it seems like us old timers can't get away with squat as we know better but the newer people can and take full advantage of it ... I don't get it. However I feel secure in my job and I think I could even start a fire in my cubical and I still would not get fired. (won't try to find out though)

Enjoy your get together this weekend, envious. Have fun, take pictures, give us a write up and forget about work problems and just enjoy.

Well I went for a walk this morning like I always do at a community center that just put in new walking trails (it's my vain attempt to get my mini schnauzer tired) and I'm about half way through and my dog starts growling. It's nothing new she growls and barks at leaves falling and the wind blowing. So I'm trying to get her to hush and come atop a small hill. About 100 feet away is a javalina weighing around 70 lbs. For those who have never had the pleasure of crossing the path of one I'll let you know that they can get aggressive and they have tusks. So I turn around and quietly go back the way I came. About 30 minutes later I decided to go down the same path but I came in from the other side. I round a corner and there he is. A lone batchlor male and he's huge. I've heard stories of them tearing a dog to shreds so I know my little 12 lb. dog is no match. So again I turn around and go back the way I came. WHEW! I heard a few ladies talking yesterday about a pig they saw but I figured some FFA kid was walking his hog not that there was a javelina running around.
Here's a link to see a pic of javelina

Was walking out of office 2 days ago.

Went to lunch with my boss and my department salesman, as we walked out of the door towards the restuarant (very close to office) we bumped into this domestic pig.

In the middle of Bangkok, a pig. . . We were dumbfound almost as if we've won the jackpot and the government took it all away due to taxation.

No idea where he came from or anything. A pig, in the middle of bangkok. .

Just a little FYI Taison....javelinas aren't in the pig family. They are as closely related to the pig as they are to the hippo. They are in the same Order (Artiodactyla) as the pig and hippo but that's as close as they come.

Went walking agin this morning and found out that there is actually a small herd living in the area. There's about 5-6 of them. I might decide to walk in a different park tomorrow. They will defend themselves if they feel threatened but generally try to get away first. My dog likes to bark and so I don't want a pack of javelinas coming at me and my daughter if one gives a distress signal to the pack.
