I'm sitting in Enovia training at work right now and the only way I can sum it up is that it's pretty terrible. The instructor is a recent university graduate and while it's obvious he knows how to use te program he really can't teach it to save his life. He changes his mind about things all the time ie. when you should do this, when you should do that. He clicks through examples at the speed of light without stopping to explain what he's doing. HAlf the time what he's doing isn't working so he closes it all and starts again ... and that isn't the half of it. I can't wait until Monday when I start in my department and have to teach myself this program after learning nothing the past two weeks!

I've recently taken up the guitar about 1.5 weeks ago. I'm really loving it! My train of thought about everything has drifted to "and if all else fails, I have Cortes" (Cortes is what I named my guitar). This is the first time I've ever endeavoured to learn a musical instrument and it's thus far going pretty well. I'm self teaching. I'm as far as playing Ode to Joy (Beethoven of course) and Let It Be (The Beatles), can read guitar tab and if I have time to think about it I can read music notes as well. I love it!

Since I was last on these forums I've graduated university, got hired at Bombardier Aerospace in Montreal (and so of course have moved here lol). I'm in the process of moving again because after a month of commuting nearly 1 hour and 45 mins to work (taking 3 buses + metro) to get to work and living with someone whose absolutely insane, I've had enough. I move on Wednesday, I'm excited, it's the first time I'll ever live without roommates and I was able to find a really decently sized 3 1/2 for a great price.

I start training in TKD and BJJ again once I buy furniture for my appartment that being my last major expenditure (for the time being anyways). I'm not sure where yet, there are a lot of options. It's been almost 1.5 yrs now since I last trained, in the mean time I've been dancing (mostly Latin Social and Ballroom).

Did I mention how much I hate Enovia?

Good to see you are still around Christie. Congrads on graduating and getting a good job. You take care of yourself and keep that level head of yours; you'll go far.

Work sucks. Just changed jobs for the third time in three years. Each of the last three jobs I have had have been very disappointing. The first was the complete opposite of the information I was provided with in the interview and training. Tried to make the best of a bad situation but couldn't. Second new job was a decent job and I enjoyed the work but not the idiots I had to work with directly. New guy coming into a previously established clicke. Everybody's target with a big bullseye on my back till I refused to take their crap anymore. Then when I go to leave, I am told how great an asset I am to the company and how they dont want to lose me. Third is where I am now and I hate drama in the work place with a passion. My boss and the admin I can not stand are best friends so guess where that leaves me, lol. Yea! Fun times again.

On a good note, just passed my 2nd Dan testing in TKD over the past week. Real happy about that. At least my training is going well and it doesnt hurt that my son and I train together.

Family stuff getting me a little down because of some bad news I got recently but we will work through it. We always do.

Probably gonna do some ocean fishing with my brother in the next couple weeks. We do it about two or three times a year and always have a great time. Might take the little man but want to make sure he is old enough to have fun and not just be bored and miserable for 6 hours on the ocean.

See ya,

Scottie

I couldn't imagine starting a new job as I've been here 20 years, so I feel for you Scottie. I have figured out one thing, there is always something everywhere you go, different setting just another pile of crap. Backstabbing, clicks, people who don't work ... we've got them and everybody I talk to says they've got them too. Good luck to you though and hope it works out.

Good job on the 2nd Dan and enjoy your summer.

I believe I have sent you pics Mr Jansson. They should be on your AOL account. I forgot how to do it here on line. Can you send me the link and or the process to do so? I would appreciate it.
