Wed August 1st. private lesson
-worked on self defense -learned pounding jackal, my last self defense I need to know right now -finished learning bo form -it was about 2/3 of it, sifu was surprised i could remember all that -went over a combo we did last night that i didnt get -the first move is called bolo or something like that. i had never done it before. so i asked and he taught me.
Sifu said I was one of the students who would make the rank testing, so yes!

-mountain climbs (in between sets did jelly bellies which are like crunches and leg lifts at the same time) -pai lum blocks -did them in all directions, with both hands, in same direction (it was confusing) -sparred -my best time sparring ever -it was long like for 20 minutes -got my sifu right in the face, but then he got me back -self defense with partner

Thursday, Kungfu Class
-warm up, lots of streches and ab workouts -sparred I think I did good. Different sparring partner then usual. Got him with the low roundhouse to high roundhouse to the face. 5 seconds later he got me with it lol. He probably won the fight but thats ok. I dont plan on beating him since he is a much higher rank and a lot older. -worked on curriculum for testing with higher rank partner (same partner I sparred with) -we went over bo form, then every move application for it -chinese stance excercise, short form of tiger, movements of tiger, tension form -self defenses (he attacked and I defended)
He says I will be good for testing

So my testing is this Saturday. I will have kungfu today (Tuesday) and Thursday. I will also go over some of the curriculum Wednesday to touch up on things. Friday I have a football scrimmage that I am hoping is really easy because I cant be worn out, I really shouldnt go but I dont have a choice.
Saturday I am going to wake up around 7 or 7:30. I will have to eat, warm up my body, and get ready. Then I will leave around 8:30 so I can get to the school around 9. When I get there I will warm up again, do some static stretches, then dynamic stretches. After that I will go over some of the forms, but just more mentally then physically.
I just want to finish all this. I am tired of going over the same things for testing. When I am done I am focusing on aerial kicks. I will be working on getting a better jump, and helping my spins in the air. I also have a kick routine to work on, so this will be my priority.

Saturday 18th, Kungfu Testing
I PASSED! I now have a 8th lower level. Today I had no belt so its a big difference. Good test. It was 1 hour 45 minutes long. We went through everything. My sparring was awesome. Sparred my 22 yr old friend. I got him with a lot of my kicks so it looked good to the spectators.

So now that testing is over I am focusing on the following:
Everyday- practice some sequence of aerials, spinning aerials, and some normal kicks
Monday- requirements for 10th lower level Tuesday-class Wed- requirements for 9th lower level Thursday- class Friday-requirements for 8th lower level Saturday- class Sunday- requirements for 7th lower level (dont know them yet)
This is with football going on. So there is no weightlifting days. When football ends, I am going to have to focus on just aerials and weights, only forms on weekends.
