Pretty much they are self defenses against certain attacks... The attacker will do one of the 18 (I dont know why its daily "dozen") attacks and you use the defense against it.
There are defenses against -lapel grabs (1 and 2 hands) -wrist grabs -headlocks -chinese strangle hold -obviously punches -chokes -bear hugs
There are more than one defense for most of the attacks. Eventually you work on them enough that they become second nature, and are actually effective.

-stretch -warmup -learned elbow sequence -short form about 5 minutes to learn -learned short form of the tiger self defense -same as short form of the tiger but with a couple added moves -application for this form

-stretch -workout -100 side kicks on each leg -trying to deliver all my power into my side kicks -worked on my spinning back kick -a big problem of mine is that I do not make my foot vertical instead it is horizontal like a side kick -bag work -combinations: 1)vertical punch, vertical punch, hook punch 2)backfist, with a step forward, roundhouse punch, spinning backfist (only works if opponent is moving back) -elbow sequence -short form of the tiger self defense -monk staff

-stretch -work out -side kicks (about 70 each leg) -worked on power -worked on back kick -by steps, slow motion -bagwork -elbow sequence -started short form of the tiger self defense, but the thunder brought me back inside
