I think both fighters took it kind of easy as they said it wasn't a sanctioned fight. The other thing is if they went all out, they wouldn't be able to air it without some kind of censorship. That being said, I think they could have been a little more aggressive. I think the football player has some experience (you have to respect anybody who can chop a banana tree down with his forearm and elbow ), I just don't think that he's fought at the level as the other guy (Ithink his name was Jason and the ball player was Bob). Anyway, nice to see something done with some thought going into it ! VDJ

1st of all, a banana tree is full of water & not hard like a regular tree - kinda like a big, tough stalk if celery.
I suspect that all of the final fights will be "MA Lite". I mean, they can't afford the host(s) to be carted off to the hospital, unable to complete filming. Lots of bucks would go down the drain.
The other point is the bald guy's role as big, tough American w/ limited MA skills. What would be more fun for a small Asian guy than to take him apart?

yea if he was chosen for the MT match, Bob would've got his at torn up....that is if they fought at a higher pace and didnt look like they pulled punches, kicks, knees, and elbows...

I liked seeing the computer guy doing the moves to show how to get power and execute it correctly. It was cool seeing the military school and the training.
I didnt like the last fight though. It skipped to much around for the end. As some of you have said, cant have hosts hurt (which made it light fighting).

The show was good. I've always been put off by Mauy Thai braggarts in our area. I considered not even watching it but I have to say I really enjoyed the show and learned a lot. It gave a very balanced view of technique and history. So I apologize to Mauy Thai guys other there for my past ill thoughts.
In a world of XMA fads it was nice to see guys in the jungle doing it old school.

So who watched last nite? I thought the fight was much better than last weeks. I would like to know when the football guy is going to have his chance in the ring! I also think it would be nice if they let you know at the end of the show what art they will be looking at the following week. I really enjoy the fact that they show how the art is implemented into the homelands military. Being a TKD stylist, I'm interested in seeing how the history of the art will portrayed.
