What context are you talking about? BJJ competition? MMA competition? Self defense? There will be different tactics for each. TBH, if all he has done is pin your arms (using both of his, I assume), you really aren't in that much danger - assuming one-on-one combat. He has to let go of one of your arms to do something, and that can give you the opportunity to respond.

How has he pinned your arms? Under his leg? With his hands? Under his knee? Under you in some way?

we do some informal instruction/rolling in bjj at my tkd school. a kid had my son mounted in a high mount. the top kid had my son's wrists/hands pined to the ground next to his head. i agree there was no imminent danger (mostly because the upper kid didn't know any submissions). i was looking for a bjj technique to reverse/escape that situation.
thanks...

right. the bottom guy has his hands pinned by the side of his head by the top guy who's in a high mount. it's for rolling in bjj.
thanks...

Pinning both his arms is just going to make the person being pinned feel stupid, as he pins your arms down with his hands, his ability to submit goes right down the drain. There are still one or two, but they are not likely to work (mostly shoulder to neck stuff.
Anyway, escaping it. I assume your arms are folded up towards your head. Extend your arm until it is straight out to your side so that his arm is now the furthest away form his body it's going to be, then yank back. If you can get your wrist up then pull away from the thumb. All in all, there isn't much of an escape form this position, because it just isn't a great position. (Often, the better a position is, the more scientifically you can break them apart). Submission power goes way down here, so just avoid it if you don't want to be in it.

uh well other then say the paintbrush(also known as Americana from the mount) there arent to many submission's that require the guy pinning to keep his grip on one of the arms..
that in mind you could always shrimp and bridge then proceed to free your arms ad-mist all the bumping.
OR you could attempt to straighten your arms(or not) and reverse shrimp out the back door,..so to speak-you did say it was a high mount yes?
