LOL. I don't think that 'Joe Dirt' is in any danger of being remade.

Oh no, I didn't realise Star Wars has been remade... it's called Eragon. Imagine the Force has wings and a long tail and that'll give you an idea.

I was reminded that there was once a suggestion to remake 'Cinema Paradiso' with Bruce Willis and macauley Culkin (it was a few years ago).

Therefore I'd like to suggest NO European/non-Hollywood film with a scrawny, undernourished kid in it gets remade by Hollywood.

You know, I had not even considered LOTR, the Star Wars series (old or new), or The iNdiana Jones movies as remotely eligable for this thread. The very thought of them being re-made is inconceivable to me.

Apparently, they are remaking Hellraiser now, so I guess nothing is sacred to the evil that is the hollywood producer.

Smart ass.

I agree, never remake LOTR nor the Indiana Jones movies or Star Wars, especially the original three I grew up with.

Fast Times at Ridgemont High was actually good. At least one of the better high school/drug/sex movies.

And you have to give it a plus for Phoebe Cates....damn, she's cute!

Butterfly... you are sooo right about "Ice Cold in Alex" et al. Add to that "The Hill". The only really untouchable film with Sean Connery.
