I study 2.5 arts I guess. Karate/shotokan and Kobujutsu,
the .5 comes from the fact that my school offers Aikido and every now and then I will get out on the floor with them and get tossed around.

Regards to wanting to do ground work have a look at Iain Abernathy's grappling metthod for karate you'll be surprised on where grappling is in karate and from the kata you pratice daily
