I have a small cold sore, and I hear it's pretty contagious and that I should wash my hands etc.

Excuse my ignorance, I tried searching for the information on google and I came up with a lot of complexed medical terms and such.

All I want to know is, should I train with other ppl if I have a cold sore, if not... how long do cold sores really last?

Since this seems to be such a common problem, excuse me for my lack of common cense, I just don't want to get anybody sick/infected.

please answer within next 2 hours (before class)

lol thanks for reading

Training with a cold sore I don't see as a problem. Just make sure that if you touch your face that you wash your hands and don't touch anything else. However if you are in close situations such as grappling then perhaps hold off but most certainly if it is kicking and punching then I don't see it as much of a hindrance.

Cold sores can last different amount of times for different people. My wife is prone to them but for myself I am not and don't get them. I do know from research that tannin that you get get from tea can help in the recovery. Make some tea and then afterwards place the tea bag on your cold sore for a few minutes every hour. Ice can also help in the initial stages of the cold sore. Don't pick at it as this will only spread it.
