Yesterday I was glancing at the tricks tutorial site and because I like good looking kicks just to feel confident about what i have learned. I dont do Tae Kwon Do anymore so never learned the difficult kicks. I saw the 540 kick and it really got my attention. So I watched some of the tutorials and started trying it today. I couldnt get the height in the jump to kick and land back on that foot. If anyone has some advice, help me please?

You should go back to taekwondo. Sounds to me a little like you want to look cool but don't want to put in the hard work to get there: it doesn't work like that.

Well I work hard but I work hard in Pai Lum not Tae Kwon Do since I dont do it. I just want to learn some of those cool tricks because yes they look cool.

Well not XMA, its actually Tae Kwon Do,. They are aerial kicks and fancy kicks in the air. I know they wont be effective but they do help altogether in something.

Got it off of www.trickstutorial.com. I forget where I randomnly thought of that site, I think I was watching youtube videos and somehow I went to that.

I've never actually seen anyone do a 540 kick in TKD, but maybe I wasn't looking hard enough.

I should explain that 'tricking' and 'martial arts' are very very different things. 'Tricking' is all the crazy aerial stuff for showing off. 'Martial arts', you learn fighting technique and spiritual wellbeing. =P

Guys, you may not care for 540 kicks, but that does not really help WhiteDragon very much. He is asking for help with the kick, not for advice on how effective it is. And I would also say, that TKD is probably the most commonly used martial art for fancy aerial kicks and the like, indeed I believe many of the "trickers" began their training in TKD.

As for doing the kick- haven't a clue WD, I can do a 360 without too much trouble, but have rarely used anything like it in sparring, hence I never practice it.
