Ed_Morris Professional Poster Registered: 11/04/05 Posts: 6768	I have what programmers call: "a workaround fix". here's what you do... your scenario of being in a thread when you aren't logged in. when you are in the thread, and want to login without losing your place: 1. your browser menu, select file->new window. 2. login using the new window. 3. switch back to the first window and hit 'refresh'. tada! another tip free of charge from your friendly forum dweeb.

Little keyboard shortcut I use a lot. Or... Hold the shift key and click on "Login" will open the login screen (or whatever link you click) in a new window. _________________________ We should all take ourselves seriously...and then crumple that image up and toss it out the window.

If you were browsing the forums and saw a thread that you wanted to respond to open another tab to the FA site, log in then hit refresh and go back to the first tab and be logged in? Does that make sense? I hope so because I'm not all that computer savvy and don't think I could explain it another way.
