Quote:

A homeowner in Altamonte Springs, Fla., who pummeled and broke the nose of a hooded armed burglary suspect inside his home was shocked to discover the intruder was a 17-year-old girl who apparently committed the crime because she was bored, according to police.

What a weird situation. Just goes to show that criminals come in all types. The fact that the intruder was a teenage girl doesn't make it any less dangerous.

Home invasion is very scary, especially when you wake up to see an intruder in your bedroom. The homeowner did the right thing.

Check out the rest of the story here.

Does anybody really expect an honest answer from a thief? Probably looking for drug money.

Unfortunately, very common to have 'boredom' acts of law-breaking.

Can't understand that. Don't mean to sound like an old fuddy-duddy, but at 17 I was kept busy with school work, and family responsibilities (siblings, housework, and earning money for the family). As a parent, I'm extremely strict about knowing where one's children are at all times...and I sure as heck would know if my daughter was 'out and about' at midnight.

Frankly, bored at 5:45am probably translates to "The Meth is wearing off, but I can't go to sleep."
